The Artisan’s Secret
Toledo

October 22th 2014 – Fratelli Rossetti is celebrating Italian manufacturing with a special event dedicated to the secrets of the Master Artisans, which will be on show at Fratelli Rossetti Boutique at Via Dei Mille 15, Naples.
The event will take place at the Fratelli Rossetti boutique on Wednesday 22 October between 6.00pm and 9.00pm. Visitors will have the chance to taste the excellent Cuvée Valdo 1926, an extra dry Prosecco made with the Glera grape and named after the year in which the winery was founded.
During the evening, the Master Artisans by Fratelli Rossetti will be unveiling some of the secrets of timeless style: such as the Toledo technique. Toledo is a procedure for hand-dyeing. The neutral calfskin is vegetally tanned then buffed by hand straight on the uppers. The end result is a glossy, bright leather full of subtle nuances.
The Fratelli Rossetti factory was founded in 1953 by visionary Renzo Rossetti in Parabiago, in the outskirts of Milan at a time when Italy moved its first steps into a concrete fashion system. The company is currently run by the second hands-on generation of the family, brothers Diego, Dario and Luca: through their passion for shoemaking, Fratelli Rossetti marked its 60th anniversary for the sake of quality. A story that allowed the brand to distinguish itself as a synonym of the utmost style, both in Italy and abroad: an enduring milestone of timeless craftsmanship.
Valdo was formed in Valdobbiadene, in the region north of Treviso. The area is well-known for its extraordinarily unique wine production and is the place where the grapes which make Prosecco Superiore DOCG are grown. The brand is the market leader in Italy for the production of Prosecco and Charmat, and boasts 155 hectares of vines. Exports make up over 44% of its revenue. Valdo is a jewel in Italy’s crown, one that has made a significant contribution to the global success of Prosecco. The sparkling wine is a hallmark of Italian quality and represents the best of the Italian lifestyle – one that puts enjoying the finer things in life first. That’s why Prosecco Valdo is for Life Lovers.
