Men’s Collection Spring Summer 2018

Milan, June 2017 – A sea breeze is blowing through the Fratelli Rossetti world: the spotlight in the summer collection is on weaves, which are done by hand like fishing nets in coastal villages.

Three types of weaves have been presented on three different models: a new, wider and perforated pattern on the slippers; a “zigzag” design on the Summer Brera loafers; and the label’s signature micro-weave on the Oxford shoes.

The three models are made of soft, light materials, such as suede and classic calfskin: perfect for wearing without socks in the summer time. All of the models are “All Over” designs: the leather soles are hand-painted in the same colours as the uppers.

The dyeing process for natural calfskin involves dipping the footwear directly in the colour. The technique works in conjunction with the weaves to emphasize the light and dark effects, giving unique, exclusive results. The tones reflect the colours of the ocean, with shades of the sea, the sky, the sand and the shrubs.

Fratelli Rossetti was set up in 1953 in Parabiago, a town just outside Milan, thanks to the visionary genius of a man named Renzo Rossetti, at a point in Italy’s history when the country was taking its first steps into the world of fashion as a serious commercial business.
The company is currently headed up by the second generation of the Rossetti family, brothers Diego, Luca and Dario who, thanks to their passion and hard work, have steered Fratelli Rossetti to its 60th anniversary, always in the pursuit of quality.
The history of the company has resulted to be a synonymous of style all over the world: a shining example of the highest standards of craftsmanship.
