Milano Moda Donna, 22 février 2024 - On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week, Fratelli Rossetti is celebrating its own “little big revolutions” in the fashion worldin a fresh and witty way. The presentation of the new collection takes inspiration from lively, typically Italian gestures, as described by Bruno Munari in his “The Fine Art of Italian Hand Gestures: A Vintage Visual Dictionary”. The brand decided to transfer this distinctive and characteristic element of our country to the feet through the creation of eight stories describing its unspoken language: kissing, walking, dancing, waiting,, gentleman, goodbye, indecision and thought. In the wake of the recent 70th anniversary milestone,"Shoe talks" began as a celebration of Made in Italy, a value rooted in the brand’s DNA and also reflected in the choice of location that will host the event: the prestigious Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II Boutique in the beating heart of Milan. For the Fall Winter 2024-25 collection, well-known gestures are uniquely represented by the icons that have shaped Fratelli Rossetti’s history. The unmistakable tasseled loafer Brera, interprets the pose of kissing, an emblematic moment of the brand’s photo campaigns created by renowned photographer Giovanni Gastel. For kissing, Brera comes in a Tartan version, available for both him and her, featuring laser processing that gives the shoe a very special “plaid” effect. The final design, inspired by typical plaid fabric, is made with a mix of perforations combined with several lines of stitching. For the dancing pose, Brera is also embellished with new seasonal embroidery, handmade on a loom. Parts embroidered with multicolored yarns and the application of patch designs depicting the brand’s iconic symbols – tassels for the Brera loafer, the stirrup for the Magenta boot, and the flower for the Hobo slipper – embellish the upper with a special three-dimensional effect. The Magenta boot, the brand’s second most famous icon, masterfully interprets the gestures of walking and goodbye. For this season, the iconic metal stirrup is restyled with an elegant twist and also applied to hyper-feminine boots, lending splendor to models that are more in line with current trends. The Hobo and Dandy models, hallmarks of the Mannish style that brought Fratelli Rossetti renown, are a must-have in this itinerary, and here they are the stars of the more androgynous gestures of indecision and waiting. The narrative on gestures is completed by thought, embodied by one of the season’s new additions: the Mary Jane with a double strap. A symbol of femininity that appeals to all women seeking timeless, everyday elegance. "Shoe Talks" renews the brand’s mission to combine the long tradition of craftsmanship with an intense pursuit of innovation, establishing Fratelli Rossetti as a point of reference for those seeking excellence in Italian fashion.
