Fratelli Rossetti presents “Open Art”, an event that gives art to the city

The men’s and women’s collection presented through works of street art

Milano Moda Donna, 24 September 2020 - Fratelli Rossetti, which has always been connected to the world of culture and performing arts, has embraced street art for the launch of its new products: multicolored weaves, bold designs and strong contrasts are the innovations for the Spring/Summer 2021 season.
“Open Art” is the event that presents Fratelli Rossetti’s new products, held on 24 September in Corso Matteotti, outside the company’s Boutique at Via Montenapoleone 1. A group of street artists known as “Madonnari”, a name derived from the Central Italian tradition of painting Madonnas and sacred images, will dedicate four paintings to the coming season’s most iconic models, exhibited outside the boutique. The artists have been selected in collaboration with the Centro Culturale Artisti Madonnari. The aim is to offer an immersive experience by appropriating the urban fabric, transforming the Milanese portico into an open-air art workshop.
The brand’s icons, which are both emblems of tradition and constantly changing symbols, are developed in this Spring/Summer 2021 collection in new bold variants.
Frame – Next season’s new edition is the “Frame” line: shoes and bags characterized by geometrical frames made of shiny and waxed leather with prominent stitching. The details feature sophisticated color combinations, ranging from bright colors such as swimming pool and forest green to softer variants such as candy pink and dove gray. The applications will be present on the typically androgynous dandy model, which this time features a side opening along the shoe: a new detail that emphasizes its free and unconventional style. Other notable models include the heeled sandals and mules characterized by the same detail, designed for women with a simple elegance.
Brera - Building on the success of the previous season, the Brera Loafer woven with a “Vienna Straw” effect is back, this time also presented in a tricolor version. The men’s and women’s model has a sophisticated, yet carefree style, playing with color contrasts such as tobacco and navy blue or candy pink and dove gray. For women, the loafer is accompanied by the new refined and versatile woven bucket bag. Magenta – A result of the evolution of the Magenta Codes, this season’s new Magenta loafer features a bold square toe and strong color combinations such as orange and brown or optical white and navy blue. The line also includes the Magenta flat sandal, characterized by criss-cross bands and a gold heel, in new colors such as almond and orange. The “top handle” bags are particularly striking with their feisty Magenta buckle on the front part.
Hobo - The Hobo slipper, in soft two-tone leather with a fringe or large tassels, is reinterpreted with different finishes, creating a degradé effect from suede to patent leather. The colors will range from warm tones such as orange and beige to cooler shades of blue and sky blue.
